Devlog #2
o.m.g.
I hate making main menu screens. It takes so long and it doesn't even look good half the time haha.
I'm also trying to do different options for screen rez and allowing your game to run smoother. I have never tried this so I hope it goes well.
It was nice to have Winston (my handsome cat) join me for an hour when first working on the game this morning.
Even though I'm having a hard time setting up the options panel, I am having a fun time learning more about Unreal Engine 4!
I am using Unreal 4 to create The House On The Island instead of Unreal 5 just because I was having a hard time adjusting to the Lumen lighting. The power Lumen gives us is incredible, but I don't think I know how to use that kind of power right now. I just want to settle with what I'm used to at the moment.
I hope to learn how to use Lumen and create hyper-realistic creations someday but for now, I'm focusing on game creation, not cinematic shots. I cannot wait to learn though!
Anyways I got quite a good bit done today and I'm having such a great time with this project.
